Canucks place Hansen (upper body) on LTIR

Oct 24, 2013, 7:25 PM EST

The Vancouver Canucks will be without Jannik Hansen for quite some time, as they placed him on the long-term injured reserve, the Vancouver Sun’s Brad Ziemer reports.

The team isn’t disclosing what part of Hansen’s “upper body” is injured, but Ziemer and many others believed that he hurt his shoulder during this fall from Tuesday:

Hansen, 27, will need to sit out at least 10 games because of this appointment. Even with a slow start, this is a tough break for the forward and the Canucks.
