Hansen leaves Canucks-Isles after falling into boards, doesn’t return

Oct 22, 2013, 9:41 PM EDT

Vancouver Canucks winger Jannik Hansen left Tuesday’s game and won’t return after a boarding hit by New York Islanders defenseman Brian Strait, Sportsnet’s Dan Murphy reports.

Update: Here’s video of the hit, so decide for yourself if it was dirty:

Hansen’s had a bit of slow start, with three points in 10 games so far for Vancouver. Even so, the Canucks would miss the Demark native if he misses significant time.

Video of the hit will be added if it’s made available.
