Penguins recall Conner from AHL

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced on Friday that they recalled right winger Chris Conner from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.

The 29-year-old Conner, who is listed only at five-foot-eight-inches tall, has 159 regular season games of NHL experience, and returns to the NHL Penguins, where he previously spent parts of two seasons.

In his first stint with the Penguins, from 2009-10 to 2010-11, he played a combined 68 regular season games, scoring nine goals and 19 points.

The Penguins host Roberto Luongo and the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday afternoon.
