Max Pacioretty will remain out of the Montreal Canadiens lineup for the next three weeks with a strained left hamstring, according to The Canadian Press.
“It’s bad luck, but it could have been a lot worse,” said Canadiens head coach Michel Therrien.
“We’ll take time to make sure he gets better, but it the meantime, it’s not such bad news. It could have been worse.”
Pacioretty suffered the injury on Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets, and did not return to the game. He needed help off the ice.
In five games with the Habs this season, the 24-year-old Pacioretty has two goals and three points.
