Video: Oilers’ Eberle roofs the backhander in shootout

Oct 8, 2013, 1:31 AM EDT

Jordan Eberle and David Perron made quick work of the New Jersey Devils and goalie Martin Brodeur in the shootout Monday night.

The two Oilers’ forwards both scored in the skills competition to complete a wild third-period Edmonton comeback against the visiting Devils.

The Oilers trailed the Devils by a 3-0 deficit heading into the third, but scored four times in the final 20 minutes and eventually won 5-4 in the shootout.

One thing EDM has going for them is that they are absolutely deadly in the shootout. Eberle, Perron, Gagner, Hall, RNH, Yakupov, Hemsky.

Yeah as much as you wan’t to blame Marty, the time between the deke and roofing it is almost non-existent.
