Was Bettman’s presence supposed to help sell tickets in Phoenix? This guy can’t retire fast enough for my liking. Go away Gary. Don’t the boos that rain upon you at every game you attend tell you something? Or are you daft?

I don’t understand all of the vitriol towards GB. He has done a stellar job increasing the popularity of the NHL. I have heard many sports talk radio hosts say that he is by far the best of the 4 major sports commissioners. What is it that he has or has not done that is so upsetting?

You must have started watching hockey this season eh? I have one word for you – LOCKOUTS! – It’s Gary’s favorite pastime.

or maybe he’s more focused on satisfying his employer.

Dueman- Get over it already!! All sports have lockouts, it’s part of the game unfortunately but this is just a fact in the real world. Would you care to join us? It’s not a big deal so long as the game continues to be exciting and fast paced as it is.

Poison pill takes effect in five years. I’d call that a ‘period,’ rather than an ‘era.’ I guess it’s semantics.

No one wants to see Bettman’s ugly mug in person. I’m guessing he expenses the tickets, and then spends all but an hour on personal business. I’d like to know if he even stays for the whole game. Someone must know if he leaves before the third period.

Really PHT? Nothing at all mentioned about the Coyotes routing NYR last night? Nothing about Vrbata’s hat trick? All you talk about is Bettman hanging out in PHX for one night? Disgraceful.
