Colorado’s dominating 6-1 win over Anaheim last night already has the local columnists getting really, really excited about the team. Yes, the word “really” was doubly necessary there. (The Denver Post)

Stamkos isn’t captain material, even being as good as he is. Being a sniper doesn’t mean you automatically get a letter. That said, he’s next in line for the captaincy anyway.

The Stamkos thing cracks me up. What’s he supposed to say? Go around shouting,
“IT SHOUD’VE BEEN ME! IT SHOUD’VE BEEN ME!” I do think St. Louis was the right call, but unless he or any other person in that situation wants to get their butt kicked, they will always say something like that.
