Predators forward Viktor Stalberg is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a right shoulder injury (specifically, an AC sprain), according to the club.

It’s a tough bit of luck for the Swedish speedster, who signed a four-year, $12 million deal with the Preds this summer after winning a Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks. Despite his team’s success in the 2013 playoffs, the 27-year-old struggled individually, scoring no goals and just three assists in 19 games. With scoring-challenged Nashville, he was hoping for a top-six role.

Stalberg suffered the injury Tuesday versus Tampa Bay.

Ouch! Nice pickup Preds for $12 mill over 4 years. Has amazing speed, but not much of anything else….

STALLBERG remindes me a lot of JACK SKILLE. gets from his end to the other end like a bat out of hell ….but then forgets why he was going there !
