Video: Marcus Foligno does his Bobby Orr impression

Sep 18, 2013, 12:13 AM EST

Sure, it’s just the preseason, but these games still provide some things that you won’t see (prospects and veterans fighting for spots) and plenty of things you love to watch (goals, fights, saves and big hits).

With that noted, soak in Buffalo Sabres youngster Marcus Foligno‘s leaping goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets, which reminds one a bit of Bobby Orr’s iconic moment except for the total lack of championship scale:

Not bad, huh?

Marcus scored twice on Tuesday, helping his Sabres beat his brother Nick Foligno‘s Columbus Blue Jackets 3-1.

Oh, cram it up your cram hole, Blommy. No one said the kid WAS Bobby Orr.

Your posts are so terrible that you made me thumbs down a Bobby Orr video

Comparing this guy to Orr is like comparing a flea to an elephant.

Didn’t you know Orr parted the Charles River, healed the lepers, saved Derek Sanderson, and cured cancer?

Ok, so he didn’t do all that, but if anyone could….

    Relax everyone, James said impression.

I’d like to see this type of play from him during the season too.

You’re asking for blomfeld to utilize his reading comprehension skills before commenting? You must be new here…

Also Marcus will be a great power forward in the future, maybe even better than his old man.

Not new, just wish people would read the complete article first. As you stated.

Agreed on Marcus’ abilities. When he first got into the NHL no one knew who he really was so people couldn’t handle him. Ennis and Stafford took advantage of that too. Last year teams had tapes on him so he no longer had that new guy advantage.

I saw Orr do this live on TV when they beat the Blues to win the Cup.

Of course Marcus is no Orr…he’s not even a defenseman. But the impression was…well …impressive!

In fact I scored a goal just like that one when playing in a local league myself. So anyone can imitate Orr, but no one can be him.

    Go Sabres!!!
