Video: Coyotes ad to spotlight new era

Sep 4, 2013, 9:43 PM EDT

The Phoenix Coyotes seem like they’re trying to emphasize a future of greater stability rather than the bumpy past, so the hope is that an upcoming ad grabs people’s attention. The team Web site rolled out this behind the scenes look on Tuesday:

The actual commercial will debut during the Arizona Cardinals’ season opener on Sept. 8.

The Coyotes’ new slogan will be “Hungrier than Ever,” according to Fox Sports Arizona’s Craig Morgan. Morgan reports that ad will give way to┬áradio, print and online campaign during the week of Sept. 9.

A COMPLETE JOKE AND A WASTE OF TIME !

Hey Bettman, go and add this to your ‘stupid’ promotion campaign down there in the land of scorpions and 100 degree temperatures …

You mad bro, cuz no one cares. We have hockey in The Grand Canyon state and theres nothing in the world that you could say that we could care about, but watching people lose their minds at the thought of hockey being played in the desert makes it all a little sweeter. (P.S any little quip about the out clause will make you look extremely small.)

as a kings fan i’m happy for hockey fans of phoenix, just like how it took time for la to establish a solid fanbase, same for phoenix, i hope this is a step in the right direction for them.

Coyotes’ new owners should be given the same stipulation that Winnipeg’s new owners were given. Winnipeg was forced to sell out 5 seasons worth of tickets to keep the team. They did it within hours.

Meanwhile, Phoenix hasn’t had a sell out season EVER. But the NHL continues to fight to keep that half-full arena half full so they wouldn’t dare give them one of those “if you want to keep the team, prove it” deals.

Correction – Winnipeg sold out in 2.5 minutes & this was not required by the NHL but was brilliant marketing by True North Sports & Entertainment
