PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

Pittsburgh Penguins CEO David Morehouse stuck up for Sidney Crosby after the star player attracted some criticism for being advanced to the front of the DMV line. Hopefully something hockey-related will happen today and PHT can away from the DMV smut…articles about Crosby are sure to draw comments, but at some point it’s just creepy journalism. The dude would have caused an outright riot at the damn dmv, so they got him out of there. End of story.

    OR….IS IT?

    Nah, it’s just creepy.

As a Flyers fan, even I find this a NON story. It is not even journalism. It’s idiotic gossip page crap. Sounds like something a 14 year old girl would have posted on twitter.

Ryan, bet you can’t wait for training camp to open. 80 some odd comments on the first DMVgate article, so, suffice to say many are bored. BTW, does Crosby put on his left shoe first? Now there’s a story to comment about.

That’s not what I’m concerned about. What I REALLY, REALLY want to know is what kind of a knot he uses!!!. It REALLY matters!!!!!!!!!!

Why hasn’t the media covered this critical breaking new event????

  4. spynnal - Aug 13, 2013 at 9:32 AM

C’mon. Every sixteen year old there to get their first license was busy texting every other sixteen year old they knew that Crosby was there. Place would have turned into a circus. Of course they hustled him out.

  5. steelhammer92 - Aug 13, 2013 at 9:42 AM

The guy’s brought more money into the city than anyone can realize. If he wants to skip line at the freaking DMV, let him. It probably didn’t cost anyone more than five extra minutes of waiting. This, and the fact that in 20 minutes, the place would have been overrun by crazed fans if he had stayed. This is so stupid.

    • joey4id - Aug 13, 2013 at 9:49 AM

Our comments shouldn’t be about the fact that they let him cut the line. It should be about why PHT published the article. I suppose they knew it would generate clicks to the ads.

      • joey4id - Aug 13, 2013 at 9:50 AM

        *justify the ads.

  6. steelers88 - Aug 13, 2013 at 10:06 AM

I have no problem with Crosby cutting line, he didn’t even ask to cut line the DMV told him to. I think it was best that Crosby was allowed to cut line because it would have caused a lot more craziness if he were have to wait.

  7. orangandblack - Aug 13, 2013 at 10:17 AM

The better question is, which dress did he choose to wear for his drivers license picture? (Come on, I had to. It’s off season and I’m bored)

    • jpelle82 - Aug 13, 2013 at 11:19 AM

i’m a fan and i was wondering if he smiled with that busted up mouth or not.

    • chanceoffleury1 - Aug 13, 2013 at 11:19 AM

Weird. It’s just as unoriginal in the offseason.

  8. chanceoffleury1 - Aug 13, 2013 at 11:23 AM

WHY IS THIS STILL A STORY????

    • laxman1944 - Aug 13, 2013 at 12:19 PM

      It’s quite simple really……

It’s about Pitssburgh and Sidney aka God Crosby.

  9. steelers88 - Aug 13, 2013 at 12:17 PM

Totally agree chanceofflurey1. Im really getting tired of this story on Crosby. So what if he skipped line at the DMV. People shouldn’t be complaining if it wasn’t for him Pittsburgh wouldn’t have a hockey team.

  10. whiskytango333 - Aug 13, 2013 at 3:42 PM

I’ve waited for hours on end at that very PennDOT license center in McCandless. It’s an unorganized, chaotic goat rodeo to begin with. I couldn’t imagine the circus that would ensue if Crosby had to sit there and everyone in the North Hills showed up.

“This is a non story, deserves NO attention. I know what will show them… a comment!!!”
Way to generate perpetual interest and discussion on a non story everyone.
