Barkov, Lindholm sign entry-level contracts

A pair of top 2013 draft picks — Florida’s Aleksander Barkov (chosen second overall) and Carolina’s Elias Lindholm (fifth overall) — have signed their entry-level contracts.

“We are pleased to have signed Aleksander,” said Panthers general manager Dale Tallon in a release. “He is a mature, strong and skilled forward who plays well at both ends of the ice and strengthens our line-up down the middle. Aleksander is a creative and dynamic player who our fans will enjoy watching. We look forward to his contributions to our organization both on and off the ice.”

Here’s the Hurricanes’ release on the Lindholm signing.

Both players are expected to compete for NHL roster spots at training camp.

Going to be really good players… Does anyone know how many of these 2013 draft prospects have now signed entry level contracts? It has to be 10-15….. Barkov has Anze Kopitar written all over him, and Lindholm seems to me to be like a Zetterberg, both excellent two way players all europeans except russians usually are…. aside of Datsyuk

Congratulations… on looking like you’re in the midst of ripping a huge fart in your first picture on PHT

That’s the “Holy smokes, I vastly underestimated the power of my flatulence but someone is taking my picture. I sure hope it doesn’t waft over there” face.
