After a quiet NHL draft, the Edmonton Oilers have been busy in free agency.

We already mentioned the Andrew Ference signing. Well, they’ve also landed goalie Jason LaBarbera, 33, for one year and center Boyd Gordon, 29, for three years.

Both players were with the Coyotes last year.

LaBarbera went 4-6-2 with a .923 save percentage in 2013 and will be expected to push starter Devan Dubnyk in Edmonton.

Gordon, a defensive center that wins faceoffs and kills penalties, should nicely complement offensive centers Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Sam Gagner.

Update: Financial terms, as per Bob McKenzie...

Boyd Gordon’s deal with EDM is 3 x $3M and LaBarbera’s is 1 x $1M.
