Interesting story on the Toronto Star website:
    http://www.thestar.com/sports/hockey/2013/06/29/nhl_draft_its_all_guesswork_professor_says.html
The title rather hints at the subject. To me the fun part of the draft is looking back a few years later and seeing how things went. An example is the 1984 draft, when Mario Lemieux seemed like a no-brainer to be picked first. He was, and he obviously worked out better than any No. 1 pick ever. As others were picked after him, however, each team had their chance to snag Patrick Roy, Brett Hull and Luc Robitaille, but they were taken long after Dave Pasin and Trevor Stienburg. Alas. Hindsight.

These guys are little league here, they constant fail at names and nationalities. They can’t even be bothered covering the entire 1st round for something that only happens once a year.

  4. vstar1us - Jun 30, 2013 at 2:53 PM

You know the NHL is BS when they can’t even see the draft on TV.
The foreign players in the NHL picked in the draft their own country can’t even see the draft. Like I said the NHL draft is crap.

You can’t watch the draft? You must be in the US. We had an hour-long pre-draft show, and now the whole draft on TSN.

Nashville made out with Jones at fourth

  8. hines86for6 - Jun 30, 2013 at 3:32 PM

The consensus best player in the draft, Jones, gets to learn from the best Defenseman in the league and play in front of a top 3 goalie? Good luck ever scoring on the Preds.

  9. prettytoney1 - Jun 30, 2013 at 3:38 PM
