Seattle’s Chris Daniels (@chrisdaniels5) reports that the NHL Board of Governors are set to meet at “8am” (Pacific) and meet until “early afternoon” (Pacific), and that Gary Bettman and possibly Bill Daly will address the media afterwards ..

Your best players should be on the ice during the most important times and the PK is one of those times

Gretzky and Lemieux would have been great killing penalties huh?

      • hazlydose - Jun 27, 2013 at 2:58 PM

Lemieux has the record for shorthanded goals in a season… So to answer your question yes.

      • hazlydose - Jun 27, 2013 at 3:00 PM

Gretzky and Lemieux are also the only two players to score 10+ shorthanded goals in multiple seasons.

Haha okay you got me. In my defense, I’m not sure hanging outside the zone for errant passes qualifies as good defense though.

My favorite moment at Tortorella’s presser when he was hired one was one of the first questions he was asked because it’s the same question I had when I heard Vancouver was hiring him….did he expect the Sedin’s to block shots. He answered ‘yes’ and I started laughing my behind off. There is no way the Sedin sisters are going to be blocking any shots for him or anyone else.

the (sisters) are more manly than you… they will do anything for the team…

Except score goals in the playoffs

The Sedin’s could be useful on PK with their possession game

This is after all the same guy who criticized AV for ages for NOT having the Sedins kill penalties.
