— Boston doesn’t make a pick until No. 60 (Jaromir Jagr trade), and the Rangers don’t have one until No. 65 (Rick Nash, Ryane Clowe trades).

— Winnipeg was assigned a compensatory pick at No. 59, as the Jets did not sign 2008 first-round pick Daulton Leveille.

JASON: The NY Post is about to write that the Devils are broke again, and have to have the draft without any lights or air conditioning. Draft picks will be announced with a megaphone. There will also be a donation box at each entrance of the building. Your boy Josh Kosman said so.

I know right, Jersey is such a dump. I can think of 29 better places to hold it!

      • 950003cups - Jun 27, 2013 at 4:28 PM

Like that 3rd world fly-over state you live in?

  2. lordfletcher - Jun 26, 2013 at 6:28 PM

I love the draft but I think it may be a bit boring for us Wild fans. Any one want Setoguchi or Clutterbuck for some high draft pics? LOL.

Will be exciting to watch what happens with Colorado and the top 4

    • rsmaggiemae - Jun 26, 2013 at 8:14 PM

      Lordfletcher
I could not agree with you more i would also get rid of Falk,Gilbert.Kanopka.
Rudd anw whoever did not play 100 percent this year..//. I would rather go to the games and see the young players go at it. even if they dont win as they at least play thier hearts out where some of these players are so boring and dull and you can tell they dont have the desire anymore no confidence but then ,maybe its the coach, who I wish was gone dont really like yeo-yeo

      • credible316 - Jun 27, 2013 at 9:37 AM

You can’t talk about getting rid of players and exclude Stoner, he was BRUTAL! Kanopka as well, too many bad penalties.

    • credible316 - Jun 27, 2013 at 9:35 AM

I think we need to keep Seto, he’s starting to hit like Clutterbuck but with some actual scoring ability.

  3. gsprulz - Jun 26, 2013 at 6:29 PM

    interesting draft class

  4. 950003cups - Jun 26, 2013 at 6:35 PM

Why is there 31 picks in Round 2? Winnipeg get an extra pick?

  5. jacketsfan7 - Jun 26, 2013 at 6:51 PM

^^^ yeah , one of their prospects didnt sign so they got an extra draft pick

  6. pizzano7416 - Jun 26, 2013 at 9:50 PM

Any team drafting in the top 10 that wants to draft a Dman should be calling Pitt about trading for LeTang… Outside of Jones LeTang is better than any of the DMan they would draft. Plus you know what your getting with LeTang, with draft picks outside of Jones is always a crap shoot

    • DonkeyStick - Jun 26, 2013 at 10:12 PM

You sure do know what you’re getting in LeTang…..an overpaid 26 year old product of a team that scores a ton of goals to make his +/- look better than it is. That’s why you draft the younger player.

      • burgh916 - Jun 26, 2013 at 10:34 PM

        As a pens fan… I couldn’t agree more.

    • lordfletcher - Jun 26, 2013 at 10:53 PM

as that may be the price for Letang……, but any GM that would be willing to give up a top 10 pick for him, has lost his mind.

I am all for puck moving dmen, but ones that are named Suter, not Letang.

Who’re the Preds gonna take at #4?

    • tcclark - Jun 26, 2013 at 11:19 PM

      Barkov

  8. kvashasux - Jun 27, 2013 at 1:00 PM

the Islanders have Montreal’s 4th round pick (#106) from the James Wiz trade

  9. endusersolutions2013 - Jun 27, 2013 at 2:32 PM

I’m getting the distinct impression that the Hawks will not come away with an im,impressive draft this year;))

    • alexbaymac - Jun 27, 2013 at 3:00 PM

Ironically, they pick BEFORE either Boston, LA or Pit, since they all traded away their 1st round picks!
