Bergeron released from hospital, flying home with team

There’s good news for the Bruins this morning.

The team announced forward Patrice Bergeron was released from a Chicago hospital last night and will be flying home with the team back to Boston today.

Bergeron left last night’s game against Chicago with an unknown injury and was taken to a hospital for observation. Coach Claude Julien last night said he was hopeful everything was fine with him and that he’d be able to play in Game 6 on Monday.

As for what his injury is, good luck figuring that out because the Bruins aren’t talking. Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos mentioned it could be his spleen, but TSN’s Bob McKenzie said no one has accurately reported what is wrong.

Crossing my fingers that he can play. I hate to see any championship won without both teams having their top players. That goes for Toews too, I’d like to see him and Bergie playing.

It would be fun to see them throwing everything at each other in Game 6, but Bergeron is obviously not playing again this season. It looked like a hip injury. Bruins will need someone to step up.

Hip injury?? You’re pretty good if you can make a diagnosis from those replays. You must be a doctor working under Obamacare

Take it easy Timmeh Thomas. He could only skate on one leg, but it wasn’t a knee injury. Guess would be hip or groin injury..

You, your children and grand children will not see that happen. It’s instructive that you want to see people pay more for healthcare and see others die for lack of adequate healthcare. What a fine human being you are.

keep drinking the kool aid. no one dies because of lack of healthcare (at least not yet), they just go to the er and jack up the cost for the rest of us when they dont pay the bill. the cost of healthcare will go UP not down for everyone that pays their bills and has a job. i broke my arm when i was 23 and had no insurance, i chose to waive it at my job. i got a discount for being self pay and ended up out of pocket only $1200 when i paid it up front. they would have otherwise billed my insurance over $6000. i also had a kid a year later when i was 24 – same story, paid a little over 6000 when they wouldve normally charged almost 20k between delivery and prenatal care. between my deductible, 80/20 coverage, and my monthly group plan rates i wouldve spent over 12000 in those 2 years where i only spent about 7500 of my own set aside $$. people are just stupid, they dont know how to put money aside or understand how a HSA works. these 20 somethings will figure it out soon enough though. the people who are unemployed or are just broke had medicaid, now they wont and they will have to wait in lines for less coverage. the poor get poorer, the votes keep coming in.

It’s called a job you bum. I don’t mind paying for it. I mind paying for welfare for people that are too lazy to go to work

They have jobs in other countries too loser. They just don’t go bankrupt with medical bills. In other modern countries, they have politicians who aren’t bribed by insurance companies, and they have a budget for medical spending. People don’t pay $40,000 to have a baby, and $5,000 for every emergency visit. That’s called making a profit through extortion.
