Claude Julien, Zdeno Chara AP

With the Stanley Cup finals set to start on Wednesday night, it’s high time we got odds for prop bets so we can further entertain ourselves.

Bovada.lv released their odds for the series as well as other goings on for the Boston-Chicago showdown. Here’s some of the fun ones… For entertainment purposes only, of course.

As for how the series goes, they’re leaning heavily on the Blackhawks to win it all.

Series Correct Score
Boston Bruins 4-0:  14/1
Boston Bruins 4-1:  8/1
Boston Bruins 4-2:  19/4
Boston Bruins 4-3:  5/1
Chicago Blackhawks 4-0:  9/1
Chicago Blackhawks 4-1:  4/1
Chicago Blackhawks 4-2:  9/2
Chicago Blackhawks 4-3:  5/1

Total Games in the Series
4:  19/4
5:  23/10
6:   9/5
7:  17/10

Total Games in the Series
Over 5½:      5/9
Under 5½:   3/2

As for the Conn Smythe Trophy, it’s all about the goalies.

Corey Crawford (CHI) 7/4
Tuukka Rask (BOS) 9/4
David Krejci (BOS) 5/1
Marian Hossa (CHI) 7/1
Patrick Kane (CHI) 7/1
Bryan Bickell (CHI) 19/2
Zdeno Chara (BOS) 12/1
Patrice Bergeron (BOS) 15/1
Patrick Sharp (CHI) 15/1
Nathan Horton (BOS) 20/1
Brad Marchand (BOS) 20/1
Duncan Keith (CHI) 25/1
Jaromir Jagr (BOS) 50/1
Jonathan Toews (CHI) 50/1

Krejci is the playoffs points leader so that’s not surprising to see him right there with both goalies.

As for more wacky stuff, odds on whether there will be a suspension in the finals are 3/1 there will be and 1/5 there won’t be one. Look out, Duncan Keith!

You can also get 2/5 odds on there being a fighting major in the finals (39/20 there won’t be), and 2/7 odds against there being a double-overtime game (11/4 there will be). Now when you’re making bets with your pals at the pub you know what kind of numbers you can hit them with.

As I predicted weeks ago, Patriots picked up Jesus Juice today. Blackhawks in 6.

      How’s golfing?

      • imleftcoast - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:44 PM

How’s the Super Bowl? I mean watching it on TV in New England.

      • jeff2000m - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:52 PM

Haha….so funny ur posting this crap in a hockey forum. Ur lucky LA played New Jersey in the finals last year, otherwise you wouldn’t even be a member on this site

      • devilsarethebest - Jun 10, 2013 at 9:00 PM

Wow, didn’t know there was such an underestimation of the Devils on this site. They totally butt raped the Flyers and Rags to get to the Finals, obviously they were no joke. They had a solid chance of winning as the first 2 games were decided in OT.

    • hockeyflow33 - Jun 11, 2013 at 1:04 AM

Why would anyone care what you or anyone else predicted?

  2. amityvillefun - Jun 10, 2013 at 6:50 PM

They must have hired him to wash Tom Brady’s jockstrap.

    • imleftcoast - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:47 PM

He’s going to help Belichick cheat again. This time they’ll ask God for the plays rather than videotape the Jets from the sidelines.

      • spitfisher - Jun 10, 2013 at 9:49 PM

idiot comment by the ill informed

  3. bensawesomeness - Jun 10, 2013 at 7:21 PM

I’d take the odds of it going to 7, and that there won’t be a suspension

still deciding which team I think will win tho

    • adambballn - Jun 10, 2013 at 7:43 PM

Plus 1 for a comment that actually has to do with the article.

      • bensawesomeness - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:36 PM

        I’m a trendsetter

  4. adambballn - Jun 10, 2013 at 7:39 PM

I’m really surprised the Hawks in 5 is only 4-1.

    • webby7712 - Jun 12, 2013 at 8:40 AM

I am really surprised the Hawks are favored at all considering what the Bruins did to the Rangers and then the real beatdown of the Penguins !!!! There is not 1 person in this world that would have said the Penguins will only score 2 goals in the whole series!!!!! BRUINS IN 6

  5. garagehero1 - Jun 10, 2013 at 7:44 PM

The boston bruins are very much like last years Kings, which basically means the bleakhawks will get swept. I can only see Chicago winning one game.

    • florida727 - Jun 11, 2013 at 8:54 AM

      Isn’t that an oxymoron?

“the blackhawks will get swept” and you see them “winning one game”

Big surprise, you’re getting just a few more thumbs-downs than thumbs-ups. It also shows your hockey IQ is hovering somewhere near your shoe size… assuming you have small feet.

  6. stakex - Jun 10, 2013 at 7:44 PM

Are these the same odds makers that had the Pens as a big favorite to win the Cup? If so, we know what these odds are worth…..

    • no - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:55 PM

odds don’t predict a winner, they estimate how likely it is someone will win

the bruins sweeping was improbable, not impossible

    • hockeyflow33 - Jun 11, 2013 at 1:06 AM

The betting odds are out there to induce bettors not to determine actual odds of winning

  7. 8man - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:24 PM

The Blackhawks are the superior team and the odds reflect it.

They’ll play the games anyways and the Bruins won’t care.

    • spitfisher - Jun 10, 2013 at 9:51 PM

The Birds were also considered the superior team…….now playing golf.

  8. jeff2000m - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:27 PM

I’m sorry but the way boston is playing I can’t see how they lose this series…..I really think Chicago is doomed. Boston is just too skilled and too powerful….they’ve got the best defenseman, the best goalie and the best forward in the postseason…..this team is scary when they’re playing like this…..sorry hawk fans but I can’t see it happening. Boston’s about to begin a DYNASTY!!!! Then again, we are used to the term dynasty here in boston. We’re bad ass!!!!

    • imleftcoast - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:52 PM

The Blackhawks just beat the Bruins 2.0. Since Marchand can’t spell dynasty (or Stanley or champions), I think we’ll the dynasty at 1.

      • jeff2000m - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:53 PM

Beat what? Check their last 6 games head to head schmuck!!!!

      • blackhawksdynasty - Jun 10, 2013 at 10:34 PM

@Jeff: just wondering what previous head to head games have to do with this series? They haven’t played each other this season (unfortunately). And although Boston’s roster hasn’t changed much, Chicago’s is very different from the last time they faced each other.

If we’ve learned anything from this postseason, it’s that prior match-ups have no bearing on series outcomes.

Oh, and the officiating and so-called “Dept of Player Safety” are in need of some serious overhauls.

    • no - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:58 PM

you can’t see the hawks winning because you can’t see Boston losing

      • jeff2000m - Jun 10, 2013 at 9:02 PM

Maybe cuz they didnt lose once and totally dominated against the favored cup champs of 2013

  9. imleftcoast - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:52 PM

    *leave

  10. jeff2000m - Jun 10, 2013 at 8:56 PM

This is proHOCKEYtalk, not proFOOTBALLtalk…..u know nothing!! Enjoy watching my bruins in the finals!!! Game 1 wed at 8pm eastern standard time…….dont be late. Get ur popcorn ready

  11. imleftcoast - Jun 10, 2013 at 9:19 PM

I know Bruin fans have a man crush on Tom Brady, and Jesus Jones is going to eat at you faster than the water collapsing the big dig tunnel.

The Blackhawks have played against the Bruins’ system against the masters of it. Nobody outcoaches Sutter. It’s up to the Hawks to win it or lose it. The Bruins have to get leads every night to stay in the Series.

    • cadlow - Jun 11, 2013 at 7:04 AM

WOW… Brilliant…I am in awe at your amzing sports take; “A team has to lead a game to win”. I’m floored… I never realized that.

  12. spitfisher - Jun 10, 2013 at 9:53 PM

“It’s up to the Hawks to win it or lose it.”

That’s brilliant! With a statement like that we should consider all of your posts valid and important, thank you, Please return your ipad back to your older sister now.

  13. bensawesomeness - Jun 10, 2013 at 10:20 PM

I’d put a few bucks on Towes or Jagr being MVP at 50 to 1. Neither are poised to be MVP but i mean, anything can happen right?

    • blackhawksdynasty - Jun 10, 2013 at 10:38 PM

      Not a bad payoff really

  14. Stiller43 - Jun 10, 2013 at 10:46 PM

A story about the cup finals, in 4 hours, has gotten 3 comments.

And people REALLY need to question why the pens get written about so much? They produce page clicks and comments, baby!!!

    • bensawesomeness - Jun 10, 2013 at 11:33 PM

Your point is flawed for a few reasons

Penguins got written about because they have one of the most obnoxious fan bases out there, they became the Heat of hockey, assembling a supposed ‘super team’ and in doing so, making themselves the villains, and then 29 other teams wanted them squashed like bugs (Thanks, B’s)

This is hardly a post about the finals, it’s just oddsmaking, more for fun and vegas-types.

Finally, the Finals don’t start for 2 days, and while it is getting a bit of buzz, the 2 teams haven’t battled yet, there’s no bad blood yet. It’ll pick up

  15. spitfisher - Jun 11, 2013 at 6:47 AM

I always said the playoffs don’t start till the home team loses!
