Video: Johnny Boychuk clobbers Brenden Morrow

Jun 5, 2013, 9:14 PM EDT

The Pittsburgh Penguins fell behind 1-0 against the Boston Bruins in Game 3, but compared to previous moments in this third-round series, they’ve generally kept it together.

In other words, Wednesday’s contest has looked more like … well, real hockey instead of a carnival act. That means more tense battles for territory and some big hits that come with it, as this Johnny Boychuk (interfering) check on Brenden Morrow shows:

Morrow is then seen jawing at Brad Marchand, which is one of those moments where many of us simply have to fill in the too-profane-for-TV blanks. (Wild guess: it probably sounds like dialogue that would work well in a Quentin Tarantino movie.)

Looks like the David Stern school of refereeing has taken over tonight.
