Avs re-sign tough guy Bordeleau to three-year, $3 million deal

The Colorado Avalanche have agreed to a three-year, $3 million contract extension with Patrick Bordeleau, according to the Denver Post.

Bordeleau, 27, was originally Minnesota draftee in 2004. He finally cracked the NHL last year spending eight years kicking around the QMJHL, ECHL and AHL (with a brief one-game appearance playing Canadian University hockey.)

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound winger had a decent rookie campaign, appearing in 46 games for the Avs while scoring 2G-3A-5PTS in just over six minutes of ice time per game.

The contract is believed to be a multi-year deal. Financial terms have not yet been released.
