Video: Blackhawks boot Quick from Kings’ net

Jun 2, 2013, 10:28 PM EST

Jonathan Quick might just win the Conn Smythe trophy for the second postseason in a row, but Sunday’s Game 2 proves that even one of the league’s best goalies has off nights. The same can be said for a normally stout Los Angeles Kings defense.

Then again, the NHL’s best team – and No. 2 scoring offense from the regular season – can make a lot of netminders’ numbers tumble. The video below illustrates Quick’s tough (and abbreviated) night quite well. It also chronicles the Chicago Blackhawks’ offensive flourish:

Quick’s numbers may have looked good up to now in the post season, but anyone who was unfortunate to own him in a fantasy league this season is not surprised by tonight’s performance.
