Video: David Krejci’s deflected shot beats Tomas Vokoun

Jun 1, 2013, 9:01 PM EST

For all the hype about Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin generates, neither one of them is leading the 2013 playoffs in scoring.

That guy would be David Krejci, who happened to top all 2011 postseason scorers, as well. The somewhat underrated Boston Bruins center scored his 18th point on a 1-0 goal that Tomas Vokoun (and one might say, especially Paul Martin) would like to have back:

Refs calling it very tight. That favors the Pens since they are best on the power play and the Bruins are the best 5-on-5. Not complaining. Just an observation. Pens are loaded. They can score without the help.

Chara stinks on the power play.

Cooke doesn’t belong in the NHL. Lemieux needs to clean up his team.

The cooke hit was a board we have all seen in the playoffs this year. 2 minute penalty? All day any day of course. 5 minutes and kicked out? It is just because he is Matt Cooke.

Not defending the board because it defiantly was a board.

I have no problem with Cooke being tossed because he is Cooke. None whatsoever.

No kidding, it’s not like they teach never to hit someone square in between the numbers from the earliest levels of hockey.

See? THIS is exactly what I’ve been talking about. Take this excuse to knock him out of the playoffs, NHL, or somebody’s going to vegetable him.

Cooke earned his rep now he is dealing with it

What’s it going to take for the league to ban that waste of skin from the game? A quadriplegic? A death? What an absolute joke.

But hey, at least they called a penalty this time unlike the Savard cheap shot.

“The somewhat underrated Boston Bruins center.” Ha, bit of an understatement. He is one of the top 10 centers in the league and an absolute beast in the playoffs.
