Video: Dave Bolland leaves Mike Richards dazed

Jun 1, 2013, 7:53 PM EDT

Both Dave Bolland and Mike Richards have a knack for getting under the skin of their opponents. Sometimes that means delivering some big hits.

Richards has been the giver and receiver of more than a few. He took a serious blow from Bolland in the waning moments of the third period of Game 1 on Saturday:

Bolland didn’t receive a penalty on the play (which actually included a separate tripping infraction). It’s difficult to tell if Richards was injured or merely hurt by that hit since there was little game time left, but the announcing crew pointed out that he seemed dazed.

Hey halfwit, maybe you missed the hits on toews, Stahlberg and pickle, and two or three others…. they looked pretty dazed and sort of cringed up the rest of the game.

Nothing new here. The Bleakhawks are one of the dirtiest team in the NHL. But they got their clocks rung pretty good in this game, and it will only get worse as the series goes on. So they can flinch, cower, duck all they want, theyre going to get hit and hit hard, and unlike Chicago, hit cleanly and legally.

Thank you, for that brilliant comment your highnass

Aah the man knows how to copy and paste. All between the tears after his beloved team got it handed to them.

LOL This game was softer than the Red Wings for the Hawks! If this is all the Kings have, it ain’t much.

    • Jackson Scofield - Jun 1, 2013 at 10:13 PM

The Hawks are a team that usually gets doubled up in hits, if not tripled, and take among the fewest penalties in the league, but ya, definitely the dirtiest, okay.

Hero-Boy: isn’t it past your bedtime?? You’re still a moron. Go back to your mom’s garage. You obviously have no idea what you’re talking about.

The 80′s made it seem cool to live above the garage but these guys who do are just angry.

Oh garagehero1, if you’re a regular in these boards this will be a fun series indeed…. Your comments are hilarious.

      Classic comment bro!!

Dave Bolland also left his feet. Why was there no charging call?

  7. sprtsfan1 - Jun 1, 2013 at 9:44 PM

I kind of looks like he came off his feet after the hit was made. Still could be argued either way. I guess it will be left up the disciplinary czar.

You 2nd year Kings Fans want some cheese with all your whine?

I have been a Hawk and Hockey fan for 50 years and most of what I read on here is fans who can’t see the forest for the trees. Bolland should have been given a penalty for leaving his feet. This is Hockey folks, it is a rough sport that not all people can play. If you want a non violent sport try baseball or basketball. There if you want to fight all your friends will jump in to help. In hockey it’s one on one. Find a high light film of an original six playoff game.

Smoked. Bolland is suspended for the series now right? ; )

Loved the hit, way to let em’ know you’re there, and also to let LA know they’re not going back to the cup without their best effort yet.
