Your Chicago-Detroit Game 7 officials are…

May 29, 2013, 10:53 AM EDT

Stephen Walkom

The referees for tonight’s Western Conference semifinal Game 7 between the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings are Stephen Walkom (#24) and Dan O’Rourke (#9).

Working the lines will be “she told me her name was Billy” Jean Morin (#97) and Brian “Killer Bee” Murphy (#97).

Walkom, 49, is best known as the NHL’s former vice president and director of officiating. He left refereeing to take that post, but came out of retirement in 2009 to start calling games again.

He was named as one of the referees for the 2010 and ’11 Stanley Cup finals, and has worked one Game 7 already this postseason (Detroit-Anaheim, with Eric Furlatt).

As for O’Rourke, he worked a Game 7 as well — Washington-New York — and worked Game 1 of the Ottawa-Montreal series (along with Mike Leggo), tagging Sens defenseman Eric Gryba with a five-minute interference penalty for his hit on Montreal’s Lars Eller.

O’Rourke was also responsible for this highly debatable hooking call on Sidney Crosby in Game 5 of the Pittsburgh-Ottawa series:

It should be noted, however, that O’Rourke was one of the four referees selected to work the 2012 Stanley Cup finals.

O’Rourke likes kicking players out of games.

    Let them play!

No cheap ones that could decide the result for either side.

    Let them play!

    Go RED WINGS!

As long as they don’t interfere with Toews all game like they’ve been doing all series. Won’t matter though. The Red Wings are toast

As long as they don’t make an effort to defend an undisciplined pansy who you would expect more out of as a leader and captain, you would have your wish. Yzerman would have never been so selfish as to let his personal frustration cost his team multiple times in a game.

Oh, brother. That’s the highest horse I’ve never seen. You need an airlift to the saddle?

Wow… cuz 619.. that NEVER goes both ways, eh?

Walkom is about the best you are ever going to get in the NHL. He knows how to press a case when it is called for, and he knows how and when to swallow the whistle.

The Hawks got this. The Wings blew their wad and don’t have much left while the Hawks are just barely hitting their stride…

That would matter if it weren’t a 7-game series. Blackhawks have been there so often though.

Keep those fingers and toes crossed 619… click the heals together while you’re at it.

      Repeat after me Dorothy:

      There’s no place like home…
      There’s no place like home…

This guy might end up in NY to replace Torts.
