Sharks coach thinks they have nothing to lose in Game 7

Going into Game 6, Logan Couture insisted that the San Jose Sharks are at their best when they’re having fun. It seems like head coach Todd McLellan wants to take a similar attitude in the series-deciding Game 7.

He tried to put the pressure on the Los Angeles Kings, as John Hoven of Mayor’s Manor reports.

“We have nothing to lose. We’re going to play Game 7 against the defending Stanley Cup Champions,” McLellan said.

The Sharks bench boss acknowledged some concern that the home team has won every game in this series since the decisive contest will take place at the Staples Center.

“The series has followed the script, with home teams winning,” McLellan said. “It’s time for us to change the story.”

We’ll see about that on Tuesday night.
