Video: Ryan Callahan dazzles Bruins defense to tie up Game 2

May 19, 2013, 4:14 PM EDT

Today’s Game 2 between New York and Boston didn’t get out to the start the Rangers wanted when Torey Krug put the Bruins ahead first, but it wouldn’t last long.

Captain Ryan Callahan would pick Brad Marchand‘s pocket and race to the other end of the ice, blowing past Dougie Hamilton and fooling Tuukka Rask on his way to a dazzling tying goal. Check out the video here.

Think Bruins coach Claude Julien might have a word with Marchand about his “effort” to backcheck and make up for his mistake?

Bergeron, Chara, Marchand, Jagr and Hamilton -2 at this point. They have some work to do.

Hamilton looked like he gave up on the play too.

Peverley for a second high stick. And terribly sloppy play by him. Both were obvious, reckless and lucky not to draw 4 minutes. These guys have to be better at keeping their sticks down.

Is Peverley playing so well that seeing what Soderberg can do is not an option?

Well considering Soderberg played 6 NHL games probably not. They’re also up 2-0 in the series so maybe you should relax.
