Video: NHL’s Sounds from Round 1 is a must-see

May 18, 2013, 1:45 PM EDT

We don’t usually get to hear much from the players on the ice, but NHL.com was helpful enough to share some of the best sound bytes from the first-round of action. Check out the video here.

A few highlights include:

Last season’s Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson telling P.K. Subban he deserves the Norris Trophy this year.

Anaheim’s Ryan Getzlaf doing his best (worst?) to intimidate Detroit’s Jonathan Ericsson.

Daniel Alfredsson leading the rest of the Senators in a series-winning cheer. Sadly, the rest of the team singing “Olé Olé Olé” upon leaving the Montreal ice wasn’t included. Yes, that happened.

My favorite part is when Bobby Ryan tries to intimidate Howard, and then forgets to play hockey for 7 games while his team loses.

One of my favorite parts of 24/7 is the uncensored chirping. HBO just leaves it all out there! It’s the best!
