Video: Penguins’ Morrow scores game winner against Senators

May 17, 2013, 11:35 PM EST

Brenden Morrow decided Sidney Crosby couldn’t do all the scoring.

Crosby notched the hat trick for the Pittsburgh Penguins, but Morrow scored the winning goal as the Penguins defeated the Ottawa Senators 4-3 on Friday to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal.

Morrow’s goal gave Pittsburgh a two-goal lead before the midway point of the second period, however Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored for Ottawa early in the third, setting up for a close finish.

Hopefully this jump starts Morrow, he hasn’t been that good so far in the playoffs.

Are you crazy!?!? It’s not all about scoring, he’s brought some grit to the table, very physical player. He makes is presence known on every shift.

You mean getting beat for loose pucks and knocked off the puck at every turn then sure he’s been awesome.

Definitly has been a slight dropoff in Morrows game. The first game against the Isles was the last game he really brought it Not taking about scoring. (which is the obvious)
Good to see him get one though.
Martin continues to be a beast.
PPG player on these playoffs. Very happy to see him have such a good year.
