Video: Anze Kopitar bounces back from puck to head

Apparently Slovenian hockey players are tough, too.

Los Angeles Kings fans were understandably concerned when star center Anze Kopitar left Thursday’s Game 2 after taking a puck to the head in the third period:

The Kings already are without center Jarret Stoll, so losing another key pivot would have been brutal.

Instead, Kopitar returned in that same final frame, prompting the Kings arena staff to play the “Rocky” theme song.

I was going to be pissed at Brown for drilling his linemate. Brownie hasn’t done much in the playoffs, but that tying goal went a long way towards redemption.

I was at the game looking right at Brownie after he took the shot. He was pretty pissed at himself, too. His play picked up big time after that…culminating in the tying goal. Totally bang on – redemption. Go Kings Go!!
