Video: More rough stuff between Kings, Sharks

May 15, 2013, 12:29 AM EDT

Raffi Torres delivered a big hit early in Game 1, but it probably wasn’t the most noteworthy blow from Tuesday’s second-round match between the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks.

Torres, for one, received a two-minute minor for charging Jarret Stoll (who has missed time since the hit, as Los Angeles Kings Insider’s Jon Rosen points out). Drew Doughty also seemed a little banged up after a Patrick Marleau check.

You can see some examples of the chippy play in the video below:

Quickie comes through again, looking more and more like the unsolvable wall of last year. Only worry I have is top line guys Kopitar and Brown not getting on the board. D-men stepped it up again and, so far, have minimized the absence of Willie Mitchell.

Looked like a hit too the head to me. And since stoll missed time Torres might be looking at a suspension. As a kings fan id love to see Torres get suspended, but it was definitely a borderline hit, the video was a little blurry for me (bad internet) but again it looked like contact with the head. With his history he should be suspended, It will be very interesting to see how Shannahan deals with this one

You’d never know Jarret Stoll was missing by listening o John Forslund or Joe Micheletti. They didn’t notice. Torres should be gone for that hit, but I’m not holding my breath given Shanahan’s erratic disciplinary decisions.

Whys the wording under the headline say charging major? Trying to make Torres look like a bad guy or what?

“Trying to make Torres look like a bad guy…” is like trying to make the sky look blue. It’s already there and has been for some time.

This just in: Raffi Torres is still a piece of sh*t.
