Video: Red Wings’ Cleary with hit from behind on Ducks’ Allen

May 12, 2013, 11:51 PM EDT

Detroit Red Wings’ forward Daniel Cleary was assessed a minor penalty for a nasty hit from behind on Anaheim Ducks defenseman Bryan Allen in the first period of Sunday’s Game 7.

Ducks’ forward Emerson Etem scored 10 seconds after the Cleary penalty expired.

The hit was, in some respects, similar to the one Cleary absorbed from Daniel Winnik earlier in the series.
