Anaheim Ducks forward Daniel Winnik was seen heading down the tunnel at the bench following a cross check from Detroit Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey.

The cross check landed Quincey in the penalty box with a minor penalty, and Winnik stayed down on the ice before slowly heading off the ice and down the tunnel.

The incident happened at the 14:44 mark of the first period in tonight’s Game 7, which was tied 1-1.

Update: Winnik has returned to the game.

Yes a penalty.. but TOTALLY embellished afterward.

I thought he got shot the way he fell to the ice. Glad to see him come right back out and play after laying comatose on the ice for minutes.
