Video: Pens’ Martin sends Game 6 to OT

May 11, 2013, 9:49 PM EDT

After a relatively quiet start to Game 6, Evgeni Malkin really started to heat up in the third period, eventually setting up Paul Martin‘s game-tying goal. (Cruel folks might say that Frans Nielsen deserves to be “credited” with the tally. That’s not very nice, though.)

The New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins are now tied 3-3 as Saturday’s contest goes to OT.

Man oh man… We really looked horrible throughout this game.. Vokoun played HUGE for us, I can’t even imagine if he wasn’t in for this game how badly we would have gotten roasted. Great series Islanders, you guys got an extremely tough team.
Time to get pissed off all over again as I assume they’ll start round 2 with Fleury.

Pens had their hands full with the Islanders. Now they’re facing a Sens team with the hottest goalie in the playoffs. They’re gonna have to figure their problems out quickly. If they’re that inconsistent against the Sens, they won’t make it through the second round.
