Video: Carey Price hands lost tooth to trainer

May 3, 2013, 8:40 PM EDT

Remember how we discussed the many feats of toughness displayed by hockey players in the 2013 playoffs after Washington Capitals blueliner Steve Oleksy shook off a puck to the face? Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price showed that NHL netminders are no pushovers, either, as you can see from this video where he shakes off a collision and nonchalantly drops off a lost tooth to a Habs trainer:

Again, hockey players are a rugged lot.

Too funny. And he’s been damn good in period 2 keeping his team in the game. That’s what superstar goalies are paid to do. Good for him to bounce back.

That’s the most badass thing I’ve ever seen.

After I watched this I drove to the rink for a pickup game, and while listening to the Angels game on the radio one of the announcers said one of the infielders had left the game due to a blister on his index finger. I shook my head.

In any other sport the player would have left the game. There are no tougher players in sports then hockey players.

“Hang on to this for me, would ya? I think I might need it later…”
