    I believe under the current rules the NHL will not suspend Gryba. Are we asking the right questions with respect to this hit? I think not. Why was Eller unconscious before hitting the ice? What part of Gryba’s body made contact with Eller’s head? Direct shoulder or was it Gryba’s back? Was Eller rendered unconscious when his head took full impact of a part of the equipment that is made of hard shell? I understand that certain concussions cannot be avoided, but there is a lot more the NHL can do to minimize the risks. Rule changes or equipment changes? Both?
