    Calm down eagle.

Eiggles can be antagonistic at times but for you to show up and criticize this comment of his makes you the ultimate troll.

  3. greenkeeper15 - Apr 23, 2013 at 9:14 PM

you have no clue how strong and classy these two cities are so please leave

  4. sjsharks66 - Apr 23, 2013 at 9:43 PM

Im not saying anything bad. Every team has done something for Boston. It is just common courtesy.

  5. friedberg7 - Apr 23, 2013 at 9:44 PM

The Flyers invited some of Boston’s finest down for the game tonight only to have them jumped by Flyers fans in front of Geno’s afterwards.

Sheesh people are sensitive on here….

  7. csilojohnson - Apr 23, 2013 at 10:15 PM

You obviously dont know the meaning of “troll” ml3939….

    • ml3939 - Apr 23, 2013 at 10:24 PM

Obviously you are unfamiliar with sjsharks66 and his constant inflammatory, idiotic and Penguins fan wannabe type commentary in any article involving the Flyers/Philadelphia. So yes, I know what troll means and I am aware of the regular trolls around here including the aforementioned one.

      • eigglesnosuperbowls - Apr 23, 2013 at 10:38 PM

This was an article not about hockey but humanity and the approval seeker sjs66 shows no shame when it comes to seeking approval from pens fans ! His handle should be sjsjelleyfish because he is spineless !

  8. ironcitydonnieiris - Apr 23, 2013 at 11:17 PM

Thumbs up to Philly. Great gesture. As a Pens fan, it’s great to see a heated rivalry city do something above hockey. We hate each other on the ice. We hate each other across the state. But when something like this happens, it doesn’t matter where anyone is from, we are there to STAND STRONG. Both east and west PA are with you Boston. Class act Philly, class act.

  9. dkphilly1122 - Apr 23, 2013 at 11:45 PM

Amen Ironcity. We are the US… the end of everyday we are one.

  10. mclovinhockey - Apr 24, 2013 at 12:05 AM

@friedberg7…. Why would you make up a story like this? I get you don’t like Philly but this is not about Philly vs Pitt.
Classless does not even start to describe your post. More like inhuman.

  11. President Charles Logan - Apr 24, 2013 at 1:48 AM

For all the debates and battles I have with the Philly fans, this is just first class on their behalf .. anyone who bashes this move is a bigger jackazz then I could ever be

  12. phillyphannn83 - Apr 24, 2013 at 2:42 AM

And by tomorrow, the trolls will forget all about this and go back to proclaiming Philly as the most classless city in all of professional sports, all because our ancestors threw snowballs at a 120 lb drunk Santa 60 years ago.

The tribute by the Flyers organization and the response from the Philly fans was awesome last night. As a life long Boston sports teams fan I would like to say thank you. I know they did a 50/50 raffle at the game last night and half was going to the One Fund Boston. Last I heard during the game it was at $84,000 that is just awesome. Once again thank you to the entire country for their support.

P.S. Plaese stop playing Sweet Caroline. Dirty Water is a much better song or even Tessy by the Dropkick Murphys. Sweet Caroline is a gimmick at Fenway to keep “Pink Hats” in their seats until the end of the game.

Couldn’t agree more, thanks Philly !

  14. benzoids - Apr 24, 2013 at 7:56 AM

I have to say that I’m pleasantly surprised by Philly on this one. Didn’t know that the organization had it in them. Good work.

  15. jelliot1978 - Apr 24, 2013 at 9:44 PM

Benzoids, did you happen to catch anything about the Phillies Mets game that was on when we got bin Laden? The stadium started going nuts with USA chants, they stop the game to officially announce it and didn’t resume play for several minutes. The Mets players were amazed at the crowd. You can bash Philly for a lot of things, most will probably be misguided but I know some aren’t. What can never be questioned is this city’s love of country. Even back in 2001 the Flyers unveiled their new version of God Bless America as the duet with Lauren Hart and Kate Smith the first regular season game after 9/11.

I know mostly the negative things make the news nationally and it is easier for a ‘homer’ to know these things.
