The Pittsburgh Penguins will get a couple of key players back tonight when they host the Buffalo Sabres.

Both forward Evgeni Malkin (missed four games with an upper-body injury) and defenseman Kris Letang (missed a game with food poisoning) will be in action at the Consol Energy Center, per Shelly Anderson of the Post-Gazette.

Question marks still surround captain Sidney Crosby (oral surgery), forward James Neal (concussion), and defenseman Paul Martin (wrist surgery).

According to Anderson, head coach Dan Bylsma offered no timetable for Crosby’s return while suggesting Neal could be back practicing full-time soon and Martin could return to action before the playoffs.

Crosby, Martin and Neal skated at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, according to the club.

Though I was young and grew up watching Mario and yagr, this team has to be the deepest and most talented group that I’ve ever seen.

    • eigglesnosuperbowls - Apr 23, 2013 at 8:15 PM

So when they get knocked out it will be “being off the playoffs “

      • laxman1944 - Apr 23, 2013 at 8:36 PM

who’s we? … i’m a neutral observer is all … but it’s easy to see how easy a few of you flyer fans are to goad…. and who’s shadow are the pens in?? the flyers shadow?? lol are you serious? if it wearnt for pht nobody would even know who the flyers are these days .. they are the forgotten team in your state iggles

  5. ironman721 - Apr 23, 2013 at 8:23 PM

They only lost 2 games in 2 months. They are a much better team then in previous years, including the 2 years they were in the finals. This team is loaded and deep. Scary good!

  6. steelers88 - Apr 23, 2013 at 8:37 PM

I’m kind of concerned about Crosby not practicing. Plus I dont like playing all the stars in meaningless games.

    • laxman1944 - Apr 23, 2013 at 8:44 PM

As far as Sid goes, I would be too……His past concussion concerns……..no doubt that has to weigh heavily but we shall see……too many careers shot to sh$t because of head trauma.

  7. laxman1944 - Apr 23, 2013 at 8:37 PM

    ……..On paper………..just sayin……..

  8. rsl22 - Apr 23, 2013 at 8:57 PM

Jeez, still no Syd? How long does it take to recover from a neovaginoplasty?

    • handsofsweed - Apr 23, 2013 at 9:12 PM

No idea. How long was your hospital stay after your operation? At least give us a starting point, queef.

      • rsl22 - Apr 23, 2013 at 9:17 PM

Queef? That’s a word I haven’t heard in fifteen years. That just make it to Pitt? Get ready for the Spice Girls to hit the Tower Records shelves there. You’ll love them.

      • laxman1944 - Apr 23, 2013 at 9:50 PM
