Tomas Vokoun will start in goal for the Penguins tonight in Ottawa.

Pittsburgh’s number-one goalie, Marc-Andre Fleury, is staying home, as his wife is expecting the couple’s first child.

Recent college signing Eric Hartzell (Quinnipiac) will be Pittsburgh’s backup.

Vokoun, 36, is 12-4-0 with a .915 save percentage. After an inconsistent start to the season, the veteran has been very good. His last outing was Saturday in Boston, where he was named first star for stopping 38 of 40 Bruins shots in a 3-2 victory.

Rangers are gonna hate that decision… LOL

Why? He just beat Boston Saturday, and had 2 and a half straight shutouts at a point where he replaced an injured Fleury. 12-4 with a .915 save percentage. That’s .002 less than Fleury.

So Flower seeded in late summer to sprout new life in the early spring. Kinda poetic -no?

    Congrats to Mr. &Mrs.

He’s going for win number 300 – that should give the Pens a little added incentive in an otherwise meaningless game. Meaningless for the Pens, that is.

Mark it down as a loss, well in either case, the Flower has not looked good either.
Before you start shouting stats, the Rangers need the win…
