Video: Rangers’ Clowe score his first goal of the year

Apr 4, 2013, 1:50 AM EST

Ryane Clowe scored his first goal as a member of the New York Rangers on Wednesday. Not only was it his first goal in his first game with New York, it was his first goal of the entire season.

Clowe, traded from San Jose to New York on Tuesday, had gone the previous 28 games without scoring. Consider the slump busted.

He snapped it with not one but two on Wednesday, as the Rangers thumped the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Does anyone else remember Jason Brough’s post of Feb 4 of the top 10 forwards who hadn’t scored yet? He had Clowe at No. 6. Well, just 2 short months later, he’s the last of the guys on the list to net one. Yay!!!

I am pretty sad he was traded. I’m going to miss seeing him bash other people’s faces in… /sadface

Terrible decision by wilson. First game clowe is gone an he scores 2 goals. Look at the sharks and wild game last night. If clowe was still on the team, that would never happen.

Ha ha cam your my favorite blogger on all these “sports talk” sites. I died at the short and sweet , sarcasm riddled description under the headline. “Scores twice in one game. On fire.” After not having a goal all year i literally just died laughing. You sir are the king.
