Tortorella says “everybody’s frustrated” with losing ways

After the Rangers suffered yet another loss in Montreal and continued their frustrating season, coach John Tortorella was able to sum things up well after the fact. Andrew Gross from Rangers Rants has the story.

“I think some guys have been in there and been basically the voice of the team where everybody needs to be in there,” Tortorella said. “This is part of learning, this is how you get better as a team, answering those questions too, we just have to stay together as a team. Nobody’s happy about it, everybody’s frustrated but we’re still in the thick of things and things change quickly if we can just get some sort of success.”

A team that made the Eastern Conference finals last year still has to learn? Huh.

On the upside, the Rangers got a slight bit of help from the Penguins after they dispatched the Islanders yesterday afternoon. That helped keep the Rangers in eighth place in the East.

On the downside, five other teams are within four points of them. The Rangers are in the thick of things, but if the wins don’t start coming, they’ll be watching the playoffs on TV from home and giving Sean Avery more incentive to mouth off from Twitter.

Even Sean Avery now that’s bad ! When sean was in the league he din’t care about losing !

If Avery didn’t have such a carnival of a career his words would carry more weight because Avery is right…… Tortorella IS a clown……Unfortunately so was Avery, so no one is willing to give any credibility to the source.

Avery purposely did CLOWN in caps. Wasn’t by mistake. That word must bare some significance in Torts’ world.

My guess is that Torts onetime called Avery a clown in the locker room, or someone called Torts a clown and he went nuts in front of Avery.

But the word CLOWN was meant to do what Avery made a career out of, which is get under an opponents skin. In this case, Torts is the opponent.

If Avery was as good at getting under peoples skin as he likes to think he’d still have a career. The guy is nothing. Not even a CLOWN. CLOWNS are entertaining.

And everybody wanted ron low gone , then trottier, then sather – except he fired himself and retained his other 2 jobs( gm and president), then renney , now torts.
What’s the one constant in all of this, glen bleeping sather ! I’m sorry he’s ill and wish him well vs that ugly disease . But when he’s well it’s bye bye . He doesn’t deserve the gm or presidents job in new york.Possibly the worst gm in rangers history.

Tired of both these two assholes

    • 950003cups - Mar 31, 2013 at 3:04 PM

Tired? Their sideshows are a sitcom of their own. I’ll never get sick of seeing these two go at it.

Best one: Torts benches Avery for showing lack of respect for the game, then in the very next game, the NHL suspends Torts for lack of respect by going after a fan! LOL

How can you get tired of that?

“Nobody’s happy about it…” I beg to differ.

First I didn’t even know Sean Avery was still in the league.

Second I agree I think there are a lot of people not sad that the Rangers suck.

Last as a Wild fan I’d like to say Suck a bag of tits Gaborik, looks like you will have plenty of time to play your little race car game while the good teams are in the playoffs. You seem to be the common denominator with teams not having post-season success.

Wow! Can someone stop the bleeding? When I say stop the bleeding, I meant the dump and chase defensive hockey that EVERYONE has caught up to except for the FLYERS. Why is it, that I mention the name Phil Housley for Head coach, nobody thinks he’s qualified. Dam’it, he won the world Junior’s with lesser talent. Tortorella and Sather need to be fired.
