Wild’s Suter not happy with officiating following loss

Mar 30, 2013, 12:57 AM EST

Minnesota Wild defenseman Ryan Suter had a strong critique of the officiating in Friday’s game between the Wild and the Dallas Stars.

Suter was assessed a cross-checking minor two minutes into the third period. At the same time, his teammate, Mikko Koivu, was also called for hooking, giving the Stars a five-on-three advantage for a full two minutes.

The Stars scored 10 seconds into the prolonged two-man advantage, and went on to defeat the Wild 5-3. Minnesota’s seven-game winning streak ended. The loss means the Wild remain two points back of the Vancouver Canucks in the battle for the Northwest Division.
