Clutterbuck injured but returns for Wild

Mar 25, 2013, 10:00 PM EDT

Minnesota Wild forward Cal Clutterbuck was injured in the first period of Monday’s game against the Dallas Stars, but he has returned to the game.

Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that Clutterbuck crashed into the net after bumping with Stars defenseman Aaron Rome and had to be helped off the ice, unable to put weight on his right leg.

Russo added this tweet later on:

In 24 games this season, Clutterbuck has three goals and five points. He’s also a minus-seven.

The Wild have won five straight games and are going for their sixth consecutive win tonight against the Stars. A win and Minnesota would regain top spot in the Northwest Division.

So like…is he actively trying to look like Al Swearengen at this point?

From that angle he looks like a ringer for Jason Schwartzman. He even has the beauty mark, just on the wrong side.

As much as I love Wild news on PHT, this story seems like a bit of a stretch.

Clutter had a huge helper on the shg tonight. that helped close out the game. 7-4 wild win

I will take it! Now, we just need those Nucks to lose a few

The Wild news on this site and many others is looking like it will continue on into June

The guy looks like a barebershop singer.

Now that you mention it, the name Clutterbuck even sounds like a barbershop quartet.

“And now from Welland, Ontario here’s the Clutterbuck Brothers singing…”
