Video: Brayden Schenn ‘joins’ Pierre McGuire between the benches

Mar 24, 2013, 9:59 PM EDT

NBC’s Pierre McGuire gets a unique perspective next to NHL teams’ benches during telecasts, but it puts him in the line of fire during that action.

Usually, that means having to keep an eye out for errant pucks. Sunday’s Philadelphia Flyers-Pittsburgh Penguins game provided a different guest, however, as Brayden Schenn ended up hopping in there with McGuire to avoid a too many men on the ice call:

I like how he looks at the pens bench all upset. I could only imagine he was saying “whats so funny?!” Then turned around and saw Pierre. That was great.

Pierre McGuire alone with a Flyer in a small space- as if his parents weren’t alre ady ashamed of raising the world’s biggest suck-up.

This was pretty funny. I couldn’t tell if his own teammates were yelling at him to get or not. Pierre’s reaction was priceless. Only in a Flyers/Penguins game!!

Good thing it wasn’t Milbury in there with him (or any Flyer), we’d only be seeing the top of his head in that picture.

Good thing it wasn’t Cindy with Bettman.
