I don't understand what the fuss about goal scoring is. I watched 8 goals get scored at the Predators-Flames game last night. There were 8 in the Sabres/Leafs game, 7 in the Isles/Habs game. Then there was 3-1, 4-1 games. What is the issue here? Seems to me that goalies still give up goals regularly, even with current equipment standards. Kipper got beaten 5 hole and along the ice a couple times last night...

Welcome back to the land of the ice and snow. Hope you enjoyed your time in the sun.
I would like to see them measure the average percentage of room a goalie from the Original Six era took up of the net and compare it to what the average goalies today take up. Then increase the net size to make today's goalies have the same percentage of unoccupied net as the goalies from the Original Six.

Only if the goalie equipment increased in size as a counter measure for composite sticks. I could be wrong, but I believe composite sticks came after the goalie equipment increased in size.
