Speaking of the Senators, they inked 25-year-old goaltender Andrew Hammond to an entry-level contract. Hammond had a 2.47 GAA and .917 save percentage in 29 games with Bowling Green State University this season. (Senators.nhl.com)

22-year-old forward Derek Stepan is starting to live up to his potential. On a Rangers’ squad that features plenty of top-end talent, Stepan ranks second on the team with 20 points in 29 contests, including five goals and six assists in his last 11 games. (New York Newsday)

    hey PHT……….there was a game in DET last night….thought you might wanna know, oh and by the way that’s 18 goals in 4 games for the team that won there last night.
