Woah Woah, first of all, Bernier is a bum, secondly Poulin is the Islanders future number 1 if not unseated by Anders Nilsson. Number 3 this team is being built from within, meaning Garth is NOT giving away talent NOR any picks for someone elses garbage and our future talent will be homegrown. Number 4 Garth is currently talking extension with Nabokov for possibly three more years. They want a vet who can steal games and he is that guy, while Poulin and Nilsson develop. If you think Nabokov sucks then you dont know sh*t about hockey. Fifthly, that is one of the dumbest trades ever. A first rounder from LA is as good as somebody elses second rounder, and why would they trade for Nabby when they already have Quick?? If there is going to be any trades at all it will be for a star forward for the second line to put us in the playoffs, rid ourselves of Neilsen, and when Wang feels like spending the money. And 6th, what are you the ambassador of Islander fans? You always comment first on every Isles post. Get a life your embarassing all of us.

Remember that when Wang started out, he had no problem with spending money. He just spent it on the wrong guys.I expect that he will slowly open up his wallet. The first area the Isles need to address is goaltending. If Garth can swing some deals to get Bernier and Bishop (Nabby, Visnovsky, the 2013 1st for Bernier & LAK's 2nd rder & then Poulin and the 2nd plus a conditional 2014 pick for Bishop might work), the Isles should be in a fairly good position to contend by the time they move to Brooklyn in 2015-16--if not before.
