Are you kidding me with the Canucks and Wild comment? They are 2 of the softest teams in the conference (minus Clutterbuck on MIN) and the Canucks might not even make the playoffs. Nobody who cheers for CHI is worried about a whole lot right now.

Out-hit 37 to 22 and this a nothing regular season game...what to do in the playoffs when men grow beards and bring the accompanying vicious temperaments [ Hawks will forever rue letting Dustin Byfuglien go, he was the heart and soul of that ever so rare Cup win. Who's blunder was that their fans may well ask ]?

Even the likes of lace-hanky-wielding teams like Canucks and Wild will intimidate these Hawks in the post season unless some of the boys man up, book it!

On this night however, Hawks even put away the flash in trying to sneak out of town with two points rather than playing a full sixty minute contact game...bzzzzzt, zzzzzip, plunk, game over [ is Crawford this bad every night ]?

Instead, Hawk faithful were left with nothing more than a Patrick Kane hat trick; the patently obvious dive, the unnecessary lethal wickering hack at an opponent with the game out of reach and the self-conscious 'I wasn't good enough' in the post-mortem? It won't do Clarice...

Since when did Hawk fortunes spin on Patrick's game?

World class player and all-round nice guy Jonathan Toews must bring Patrick Kane back to earth, remind him a bit of body contact is okay after-all, ask him to get tougher on the boards and show up in the hurly burly behind the net and in the corners; in a nutshell, play man hockey!

It's too easy to assume the mantle of a starry-eyed playmaker, hover in space looking for garbage; even the truly great players have to get their noses dirty if they expect to win respect of teammate and opponent alike! Less time spent giving sound bites, sending tweets, and offering-up self-centred petulance on and off the ice is what's needed by our Patrick...

[ meanwhile back at the ranch, I see Ducks measuring Mr. Kane for some special attention for the slash on Koivu...game on Patty! ]

Hopefully this game exposed Chicago's only real weakness (aside from injured all-stars) enough for Bowman to make a move for a decent 2nd line center. Bolland has proven over and over he's not capable of filling that role. He's been basically nonexistent all year, despite playing w/ Kane and Sharp. 3/4 centers below 50% at the dot is a recipe for frustration. Can't get started on the PP and can't clear the zone to start a PK. The kids in Rockford aren't ready for the big time yet. Time to make the move Stan.

No need for Kane to apologize. Cannot play 25 minutes in a game like this. Coach Q needed to play more defense the last five minutes as they allowed too many odd man rushes. Kane was gassed on ice for two of the goals. Still a great game

Nothing to apologize for... he's terriffic all year. Ducks had the jump on the Hawks most of the night; 4 games in 7 days, 4 different time zones catches up to you... Anaheim's size, physical play and skill is a real threat. Will be fun to see how this plays out next Friday.
