According to the most recent data, when including all men with prostate cancer:
• The relative 5-year survival rate is nearly 100%
• The relative 10-year survival rate is 98%
• The 15-year relative survival rate is 93%

Keep in mind that 5-year survival rates are based on patients diagnosed and first treated more than 5 years ago, and 10-year survival rates are based on patients diagnosed more than 10 years ago. Modern methods of detection and treatment mean that many prostate cancers are now found earlier and can be treated more effectively. If you are diagnosed this year, your outlook may be better than the numbers reported above.

By the way, since its obvious you are oblivious to anything hockey related, Devils have sold out every game this year except 2, and they were 2k short in both those games. Don’t kid yourself. MSG isn’t packed every game.

You have more people in attendance, but we have more fans in the building. Any ranger fan will tell you that 1/2 the lower bowls in MSG are full of corporate types who are there on a free client ticket.

So stop the bragging. You never been to a game otherwise you would know that.

he was the one who was adamant to get gretzky when teams were passing on him and didn’t want him, he did whatever it took to grab Gretzky. Smart move by him, but you’re right, you should neglect all of the other hall of fame players and hall of fame caliber players. You should also neglect that he has more cups and wins than Lou, and neglect the fact that he’s been in the HOF for being such a great coach and exec for almost 20 yrs now. Neglect the teams to represent Canada that he was the architect of that won, the fact he was so highly regarded they chose Sather to build those teams.
If you ask any knowledgeable hockey fan, writer, analyst or player, they will say both Lou and Sather are both great, but it’s sather all the way.
You’re such a waste, look at your rants, hate and immaturity and how unclassy you are. Using this as your forum on an article in regards to someone who was diagnosed with cancer. You’re like a typing oxymoron saying how “stupid” rangers fans are, being wasted, hi-fiving..but you arent stupid talking about someone over a computer in an article about cancer….I would say something about the devils fan base but there is none, go have Newark help out with your bills and other owners bail your team out. At least your stadium sells out when you play the hi-fiving rangers, especially when its 75% ranger fans there…..You’re right though, keep telling yourself Lou is better than Sather.

I wonder why that is. Hmmmm. Let me see. Ohhhhhh! Right! I remember now. It’s because he didn’t! Not only was Gretzky never drafted by Sather, he was never drafted at all.

I’m not gonna get in to the history of all that, but it might help if you read up on the greatest man to play the game.

I’m not really surprised. Most ranger fans I know don’t know much about hockey anyway. They just run around yelling nonsense without knowing much. Kinda like what you just did.

I’ve even heard “fans” say “he was smart enough to draft Lundqvist” another joke. A 7th round pick isn’t someone a GM “saw something special” in. It’s a lucky pick.

You can’t fix stupid. It’s easier to just throw them in blue shirts and let them get wasted and high five each other all day for basically accomplishing absolutely nothing in its 87 years. They won one cup since Pearl Harbor.

Ughhhhhhhh, my head just hurt after reading your post, and the lololol after your argument just makes you sound like a complete loser. Yes, we all must be delusional and have gotten asbestos, especially after their almost 1 billion in renovations. You know, the rangers can actually afford that and not be bailed out by other teams bc they are broke unlike the devils, they have a marketable team and a fan base. That’s an interesting list, but I might have to one up you. Aside from countless rangers picks, if you want to go the route of who is a better coach and gm, I think any hockey fan and historian would take sather all day and everyday.
He has won more cups as coach and gm and only drafted a bum named Wayne Gretzky who other teams said was too small. While we’re at it, Coffey, Kurri, Steve smith, messier, arnott, graves, Anderson, fuhr, moog, huddy, mctavish, And about 500 others…we should also neglect the fact he is top ten all time in wins, we should neglect all of his cups, we should neglect that he built numerous championship team Canada teams In the Canada cup, Olympics…etc….and definitely neglect the fact he’s been in the NHL hall of fame since the late 90s

If I remember right, prostate cancer is a very slow moving, treatable form of cancer. Cancer is never “no big deal” (unfortunately I know), but at least the odds are on his side.

Sorry, but I must disagree: No surgery is “no big deal” when it is on you. Myriad things can go awry, and even when all goes well, when the anesthesia wears off, it hurts, sometimes a lot. Been there, done that, didn’t like it. And like everyone else of good cheer, I wish him the best.

Michael Sauer was a great pick. His first full season with the Rangers (two seasons ago) was top notch, and the only reason hes not playing for them now is that hes been sidelined with a concussion since December of last season. Its a really bad situation, but he was a good pick.

Dan Blackburn was hurt at the start of his third season, and never played again as a result. Theres simply no way to know how well he would turn out.

Al Montoya is still playing in the NHL (Jets backup), and has a winning record and solid stats.

Christian Thomas is only 20 years old, and this is only his first full year of professional hockey. Very few guys go strait to the NHL these days…. very few.

A couple others on that list have had moderately successful NHL careers. Either way, if you look at any GM who has been doing it long enough… there will be plenty of failed players who just never made it. Especially when you consider most of those guys you listed were picked 40-60th. Its not like any of them were 1st or 2nd round picks.
