However, the idea that they would put more focus on one (two if you count Miller) players development then making the playoffs is laughable. This is a team that many people expected to contend for the cup this year. This is not a rebuilding team. They have a ton of talent already, even if some of it isn’t playing well right now… and theres no reason to put all their focus on the development of young talent. Kreider is a bonus to the Ragners if hes playing well, but they don’t NEED him in the near future.

Also, theres no such thing as a “crap playoff spot”… just ask the Kings how crappy their 8th place finish last year was.

Stop worrying about jockeying for a crap playoff spot and worry about developing your talented young guys. Playoffs etc will follow, just stop reacting to a bad play here and there with benching.
