My mom’s (and dad’s) basement is actually pretty nice. I’ve got my own fridge, TV, a wood stove for those extra cold winter nights, I can stay up as late as I want, mom does my laundry, and there’s unlimited internet.

And I get to comment on the “Chep Shot, Sucker Punching, Diving, Embellishing Bruins.What’s not to love?

habsman daily routine 8am: wake up, 9am: check app for post about Bruins, 10am: check again, 11am: check again, 12pm: his mom comes down the basement stairs and asks him if he wants his hot dogs cut up in his spaghettios or on the side and how much hi-c fruit punch he wants, 1pm: Bruins story posted and completely negative and annoying comments made by habsman, 2pm: wait for response, 3pm: still waiting, 4pm: still waiting, 5pm: response posted reminding habsman he is annoying. habsman replies something to the affect of Bruins are divers…blah blah blah…vag…divers…want to see my diving videos?…blah blah blah. 6pm: wait for another response, 7pm: still waiting, 8pm: habsman pleasures himself to pictures of Price in a butterfly position. 9pm: goes to bed early with visions of future posts about Bruins players diving.

Scabsman the Canadiens play like girls all the time that is why they dive to the ice all the time. That team has not had any heart since Boston Bad Boys Chris Nilan and Steve Rooney left Montreal and came back to the U.S and back then you had to import toughness. Face facts hockey is now the U.S. game. During realignment they considered lumping the Canadian Teams into a girls division since most of the Habs players have Vags but you have to shave Canadian women down to find the Vag and even then it’s hard to tell since Canadian women have more balls than the men. So why don’t you make like Carrie Price and go put your pads on cause I think it’s your time of the month. So get off the PC or go back to your Gay Porn blog the men are having a hockey conversation here

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion. IMO the Habs are no better or no worse than the rest of the league. All type and amount of embellishment is plain wrong, and that includes the Habs. But our team hasn’t been the subject of ridicule on the Daily show and other shows. Why do you think that is? Could it be the hypocritical nature of the Bruin complaints?

Obviously coach Clod was attempting to plant seeds in the minds of officials for future games. And based on the Bruins style of play, it’s understandable. But he and the Bruins, sure looked foolish when you look at those vids, don’t they?

Fair enough, but I don’t hear any acknowledgement of Habs players either. You seem to be fixed on bashing Bruins players for very marginal accusations.

The embellishment complaint is not based off whether it happens, it’s how often it happens. And imo between the Bruins and Canadiens the volume of embellishment is clearly tilted to the side of the Montreal.

Every team in the league embellishes to some extent. We’re in total agreement.

But don’t sit at a podium and call out others, when there is plenty of evidence that your team is guilty of the same accusations.

And just for the record, if I was a coach, any player who dives would get an automatic 5 game susspension.

No need for the sarcasm, I get the point you’re trying to make. I’m telling you that you’re exaggerating the play because you’re trying to search for some type of embellishment play, so you can bash the Bruins for being hypocrites. Every team in the NHL embellishes to some degree, but if you’re trying to make the case that the Bruins are just as bad, if not worse than anyone else in the league, I disagree. Resorting to calling players like Boychuk divers, or continually coming back to Marchand is not making as strong a case as you may think. (BTW see James Wisnewski Game 7 2011)

Honestly, I really can’t rate them or anyone because I do not play pro hockey. I sit here, drink beer and watch the game. All teams have a certain amount of diving and that is the fault of the league. The teams should be able to police themselves like they used to. In my opinion, the bruins are probably the closest to doing this because they actually stick up for each other…at least they have for over the past 3 or 4 seasons. Because they police themselves, opposing fans believe they are bullies and thugs…so be it. This is after all a team sport isn’t it? Maybe other teams would follow suit…if they were actually teams.

Crosbys stick obviously hit boychuk in the face. He didn’t embellish anything. As with all high sticks, the refs come and check for blood. End of story. It wasn’t an intentional high stick, but a high stick nonetheless , and it will always be called.

You’re really nit-picking, you may be the only fan talking about that play. I’ve seen that play a million times in the NHL and at most levels. You get a stick to the face and you’re likely to react, whether it be all pain or not. But I’ve seen plenty of Canadiens do something quite similar and I can’t imagine you called them out on it.

I still get a kick out of the idea of a shot not being hard but “heavy” although I totally understand what Pierre getting at, I know for a fact that no matter who is shooting, the weight of that puck remains the same, and how hard it impacts is directly related to the speed it is travelling.

I think the Bruins are being exposed. When they’re not sucker punching and delivering cheap shots, they’re diving and embellishing. Nice.
